Stride Shares Up 8% On Higher Q4 Profit

Shares of online education company Stride, Inc. (LRN) are up 8 percent on Wednesday's trading as the company posted higher earnings in the fourth quarter of 2021, which came in above the Street expectations.

During the three-month period, the company's net income was $10.5 million or $0.25 per share, up from $4.9 million or $0.12 per share a year ago. On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to post earnings of $0.16 per share in the quarter.

Revenue soared to $397.5 million from $268.9 million in the same period last year, while analysts were looking for revenues of $389 million.

Currently at $32.93, the stock has traded between $20.39 and $50.48 during the past 52 weeks.
