DEUTZ Group Reports Operating Profit In Q2; Confirms 2021 Guidance

DEUTZ Group (DEZBF.PK,DEUZF.PK) said it achieved further growth in the second quarter and finished the first half of the year on a positive note. Looking forward, the Group remains confident that it is on track to achieve what it predicted in the upgraded full-year guidance for 2021 in April.

Second-quarter net income was 14.2 million euros compared to a loss of 42.3 million euros, prior year. Profit per share was 0.12 euros compared to a loss of 0.35 euros. EBIT before exceptional items was 16.0 million euros, up from an operating loss of 38.1 million euros, a year ago. Profit per share before exceptional items was 0.12 euros compared to a loss of 0.35 euros. Second quarter revenue increased by 52.3 percent to 426.8 million euros.

For the medium term, the company continues to project an increase in revenue to more than 2.0 billion euros in 2023/2024 and an EBIT margin before exceptional items of between 7 percent and 8 percent.
