Helios Towers HY Pre-tax Loss Narrows

Helios Towers plc (HTWS.L), the independent telecommunications infrastructure company, reported that its loss before tax for the six months to 30 June 2021 narrowed to US$43.6 million from US$83.0 million in the prior year.

Loss attributable to owners of the company for the period also narrowed to US$51.1 million or 5.1 cents per share from US$91.1 million or 9.1 cents per share last year.

Revenue for the period increased by 4% to US$212.4 million from US$204.0 million last year. The increase was largely driven by the growth in total tenancies from 14,906 as of 30 June 2020 to 17,090 as of 30 June 2021, including the addition of 1,264 tenancies in Senegal.
