Renate Nyborg To Lead Dating App Tinder

Match Group (MTCH) announced the appointment of Renate Nyborg as Chief Executive Officer of Tinder, effective September 27, 2021. She will succeed Jim Lanzone, who is stepping down. Renate Nyborg is currently Tinder's General Manager of Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Nyborg joined Tinder from Headspace. Previously, she spent more than four years at Apple, leading its App Store subscription business across Europe.

Match Group noted that Nyborg will be Tinder's first female CEO since its inception.

"Running Tinder's European business, she's demonstrated true leadership, and is relentlessly focused on accelerating growth and developing experiences based on what our members - particularly women - are looking for," said Match Group CEO, Shar Dubey.
