Jeff Bezos Congratulates Elon Musk On Inspiration4 Launch

Amazon's Founder and Blue Origin Chief Jeff Bezos congratulated his top rival, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk after SpaceX successfully launched its Inspiration4 with four passengers without any astronaut on board.

Bezos took to Twitter on Wednesday where he wrote, "Congratulations to @ElonMusk and the @SpaceX team on their successful Inspiration4 launch last night. Another step towards a future where space is accessible to all of us."

Inspiration4 is the latest to carry passengers to space after Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic and Bezos's Blue Origin. However, the difference is the Inspiration4 expedition does not have any onboard astronauts to fly the spacecraft. The civilians will stay afloat in the low Eart orbit for three days in a Crew Dragon space capsule and then descend back to land.

Bezos and Musk have shared blows in the recent past when SpaceX clinched NASA's Artemis program with a $2.9 billion bid. The project will mark the first human landing on the Moon since Neil Armstrong in 1972. Blue Origin has filed a lawsuit against NASA dubbing NASA's evaluation as "unlawful and improper" last month.

A Blue Origin spokesperson had said, "We firmly believe that the issues identified in this procurement and its outcomes must be addressed to restore fairness, create competition, and ensure a safe return to the Moon for America."

The lawsuit has already hampered the project for more than four months, much to the frustration of Musk.
