Novavax Up 11% As It Applies To WHO For Emergency Listing Of COVID-19 Vaccine

Shares of biotechnology company Novavax, Inc. (NVAX) are up 11 percent on Thursday's trading. The company and its partner, Serum Institute of India, announced on Thursday that they have filed for World Health Organization emergency use listing of Novavax's COVID-19 vaccine.

Additionally, data released from a late-stage UK clinical study of the vaccine showed that it had an efficacy of 89.7 percent. The data was published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

Currently at $254.14, the stock has traded between $76.59 and $331.68 during the past 52 weeks.
