Danone Chief Human Resources Officer And General Secretary Bertrand Austruy To Step Down

French food company Danone SA (DANOY.PK) Tuesday announced that Bertrand Austruy, Chief Human Resources Officer and General Secretary, will step down from his roles at Danone. He plans to pursue different professional opportunities.

The company appointed Laurent Sacchi to succeed Austruy as General Secretary with effect on October 1 and will join Danone Executive Committee. He will maintain his duties as Secretary to the Board of Directors.

Chief Human Resources Officer succession will be announced in due course. Austruy will remain CHRO and an Executive Committee member until his successor is in place.

Austruy has been with Danone for more than 20 years, of which the last 7 on the Executive Committee.

United Airlines has opened its flight training school, United Aviate Academy, to bring out new pilots with a view to mainly empower women and people of color. The institute's first class of students is 80 percent women or people of color.
