Daimler Shareholders Approve Realignment By Overwhelming Majority

Daimler AG (DDAIF.PK) said the resolution regarding spin-off of the truck and bus business was approved by 99.90% of the capital stock represented at the Extraordinary General Meeting. 56.45% of capital stock were represented at the virtual EGM. The shareholders also approved also with an overwhelming majority the renaming of Daimler AG as Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

Daimler AG said two current members of the Supervisory Board, Marie Wieck and Joe Kaeser, will step down from their positions and join the Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG. Helene Svahn and Olaf Koch were elected as their successors.

Ontario, Canada-based Erie Meat Products Ltd. is recalling approximately 1,224 pounds of fully cooked chicken bologna products, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service or FSIS. The chicken bologna products were imported and distributed into the United States without the benefit of FSIS import reinspection. The U. S. Alexander & Hornung, a business unit of Perdue Premium Meat Co., Inc., is recalling around 234,391 pounds of fully cooked pork products citing possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service or FSIS announced. The recall involves ham and pepperoni products that come under various brands and produced on various dates.
