The company's bottom line totaled $355.6 million or $1.65 per share during the third quarter. This compares with $313.3 million, or $1.45 per share, in the same period last year.
The company's revenue for the quarter rose 7.2 percent to $3.44 billion from $3.21 billion a year ago.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters were looking for earnings of $1.84 per share on revenues of $3.85 billion for the three-month period.
