Rio Tinto Shares Up 3%

Shares of metal and mining company Rio Tinto Group (RIO) are up 3 percent on Thursday's trading even though there was no company announcement to influence the stock.

On November 9, the company announced a collaboration with Resolve, a Washington-based non-profit organization, to launch a start-up Regeneration, which will use the re-mining and processing of waste from legacy mine sites to aid rehabilitation activities and restore natural environments.

Currently at $62.53, the stock has traded between $60.17 and $95.97 during the past 52 weeks.
