Jill Scott recently took to Twitter with a strong message for her rumor-monger fans after information about an alleged sex tape involving her went viral on the platform.
Though there was no evidence to support the allegation, it had not stopped the social media frenzy. The name of the "Golden" singer was trending as fans became desperate to get a glimpse of the non-existing clip.
A tweet read, "Jill Scott sex tape? Somebody link me please", while another said, "Y'all out here lying about something this important?"
Dismissing the rumour once and for all, the Grammy-winning singer tweeted, "Say word!?! I expect this energy when my new movies, albums and tv show drop. Ya'll too much. #headedbacktowork #hydrate."
The R&B songstress attached a GIF of her bowing down to an applauding audience with her post.
However, this is not the first time that Jill Scott has gone viral.
In 2018, when a provocative video of her showing off her "oral skills" on a microphone during an Atlanta performance came to the limelight, she brushed it off with a light-hearted joke, saying,
"I sing/act out all kinds of stories. You should cum to my shows. After a Jill Scott show, most people get splendidly laid by whoever they came with…They also usually go on 2happier, more productive, focused, wealthy lives."
