Global markets bounced back after Fed Chair Jerome Powell's Senate hearing that did not reveal any more urgency to combat inflation than that was revealed in the recent FOMC Minutes. Asian equity markets closed with gains. European stocks are rallying. American stock futures gauges indicate positive opening. The Dollar Index remained firm ahead of the crucial December inflation data release on Wednesday. Bond yields eased. Oil prices hit two month-highs as Omicron panic was perceived as overdone. Gold edged down after early gains as the Dollar remained strong. Cryptocurrencies rebounded. Bitcoin has gained around 2.5 percent whereas Ethereum is trading almost 4.5 percent higher.
