Ferguson To Buy Back Up To GBP 450 Mln Of Shares

Ferguson plc (FERG.L) said that, in continuation of its $2 billion share repurchase program, it has entered into an irrevocable and non-discretionary arrangement with its broker Barclays Capital Securities Limited and Barclays Capital Inc. to buy back up to 450 million pounds of its shares commencing from April 13, 2022 and ending no later than June 23, 2022.

As per the arrangement, Barclays, an independent third party, will act as principal and will make decisions under the program independently from the Company.

The Federal Trade Commission or FTC, has sued Walmart for allowing its money transfer services to be used by fraudsters, who fleeced consumers out of hundreds of millions of dollars. The retail giant is alleged to have looked the other way to pocket millions in fees while scammers took advantage of its failure to properly secure the money transfer services offered at Walmart stores. The San Mateo office, where employees worked on improving the driver assistance systems, marketed as Autopilot, had about 350 employees before the cut.
