Nutrien Stock Slips 5%

Shares of Nutrien Ltd. (NTR) are slipping over 5% on Monday morning despite no stock related new statement from the Canadian fertilizer company.

NTR is currently trading at $98.10, down $5.71 or 5.50%, on the NYSE. The stock had opened its trading at $106.86 after closing prior trading day at $103.81. The stock has traded between $54.22 and $117.25 in the past 52 week period.

Nutrien provides crop inputs and services. It offers potash, nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfate products; and financial solutions. The company also distributes crop nutrients, crop protection products, seeds, and merchandise products through approximately 2,000 retail locations in the United States, Canada, South America, and Australia.

Nutrien is set to release its firs-quarter results on Monday, May 2, 2022, after market close. Wall Street analysts currently estimates the company to report $2.69 per share and revenues of $7.58 billion for the quarter.

Meanwhile, fertilizer costs have surged as the ongoing war in Ukraine has disrupted the flow of supplies from Russia, the world's largest exporter of the commodity.
