Smurfit Kappa Q1 Revenue Improves 33%

Paper-based packaging solutions provider Smurfit Kappa Group plc (SKG.L) on Friday said its revenue in the first quarter grew 33% year-on-year to 3.024 billion euros.

EBITDA, or earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization for the quarter increased 33% to 514 million euros from last last year.

Looking forward, the company said, "We remain confident in the future prospects of our business and our first quarter performance, together with our ongoing investment program, sets a strong foundation for 2022 and beyond."

The Federal Communications Commission or FCC has granted SpaceX Services, Inc. authorization to use its Starlink satellite internet system on vehicles in motion. SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, is allowed to operate consumer and enterprise Ku-band Earth Stations in Motion or ESIM using frequencies allocated to the fixed satellite service.
