HELLA To Assess Strategic Options For 'Special Application' Segment Incl. Sale

HELLA GmbH & Co. KGaA said that its management board and the shareholders'
committee decided to assess strategic options for the business segment "Special Applications", including a sale of the business segment, and in this context to conduct a market sounding, among other assessments.

The market sounding on the business segment "Special Applications" is at an early stage; the possible conclusion of a binding sale contract is therefore not yet foreseeable, the company said in a statement.

The Federal Trade Commission or FTC, has sued Walmart for allowing its money transfer services to be used by fraudsters, who fleeced consumers out of hundreds of millions of dollars. The retail giant is alleged to have looked the other way to pocket millions in fees while scammers took advantage of its failure to properly secure the money transfer services offered at Walmart stores. The San Mateo office, where employees worked on improving the driver assistance systems, marketed as Autopilot, had about 350 employees before the cut.
