Hyundai Posts Decline In Vehicle Sales For April

Hyundai Motor Co., Ltd.(HYMTF.OB), a South Korean automotive major, on Tuesday posted a decline in its total wholesale vehicle unit sales for the month of April as well as year-to-date period.

The Seoul-headquartered firm sold 308,788 vehicle units for the month of April, down from 349,184 units sold during the same period a year ago.

The company had sold 314,958 vehicle units for March 2022.

The Group's domestic vehicle sales for the month of April were 59,415 units, versus 70,219 units for the same month of 2021. Overseas sales for the four week period were registered at 249,373 units as against 278,965 units for the year-ago period.

The automotive company also sold 1.211 million units for the year-to- date period, less than 1.34 million units sold during the corresponding period last year.

Hyundai's domestic vehicle sales for the year-to-date period were 211,513 units, compared with 255,632 units, on year-on-year basis.

Also, the automaker's overseas sales for the year-to-date period were registered at 1.00 million units as against 1.09 million units.
