4imprint Group Profit Leaps Amidst Strong Revenues, Cost Control

4imprint Group plc (FOUR), a direct marketer of promotional products, on Wednesday announced the half year results for the 26 weeks ended 2 July 2022 that showed a more than 1000 percent jump in profit before tax amidst strong revenues and control over marketing expenses.

Profit before tax increased by 1203 percent to $43.91 million, from the level of $3.37 million in the comparative prior-period.

EPS jumped 1204 percent to 118.90 cents as compared to 9.12 cents in the first half of the previous period.

Operating profit increased 1122 percent to $43.98 million, versus $3.60 million in the year-ago period. Marketing costs reduced to 12.2 percent of revenue in the period, compared to 18.3 percent of revenue in the first half of 2021.

Revenue increased 58 percent to $515.5 million, as compared to $326.81 million in the corresponding half year of 2021. The total orders processed in the first half of 2022 stood at 886,000 versus 616,000 in the corresponding prior period.

Interim dividend per share was 40 cents (33.01 pence) as compared to 15 cents (10.83 pence) in the prior period.

The company continues to expect the long-held revenue target of $1bn during the 2022 financial year.

Shares of 4imprint Group closed Tuesday's trading at 3350 pence, up 40 pence or 1.21 percent from the previous close.
