Genel Energy Appoints Paul Weir As Chief Executive Officer

Genel Energy Plc (GENL.L,GEGYF.PK), a British oil firm, said on Monday that it has appointed Paul Weir as Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.

Paul was previously serving as Chief Operating Officer when he was named Interim CEO in June after Bill Higgs stepped down from the role.

Paul, who joined Genel in January 2020, has worked for over three decades in upstream exploration and production or E&P with experience in the North Sea, South East Asia, and Africa.

Prior to joining Genel, Paul was Group Head of Operations and Safety at Tullow Oil.
