Country superstar Luke Combs has officially dropped the poignant new track, "Joe."

"Joe" has become a fan-favorite after Combs debuted the song during a live performance on the Grand Ole Opry stage. Combs co-wrote the song with Erik Dylan and James Slater.

"I got a job and my name's Joe / Spend my days at the Texaco / Never show up late / Never show up drunk / When I get half-lit, I'm a loaded gun / Made a couple wrong turns / Did county time / I do everything I can to stay between the lines," Combs notes in the opening verse.

"There's been a bunch of folks in my family that have struggled with alcoholism and things at times," Combs explained of the song's inspiration on "Today's Country Radio with Kelleigh Bannen."

"You know, our genre is so centric around drinking and partying and having a good time, and alcohol is always associated with that," he continued, detailing country music's penchant for good timin' tunes.

"Joe" is the latest single from Combs' forthcoming album Gettin' Old, which will drop on March 24 via River House Artists/Columbia Nashville. It's a companion album to last year's Growin' Up and features 18 new songs.
