Hip-hop superstar Megan Thee Stallion has announced plans to release a new single, "Cobra," on Friday, November 3.
"Cobra" will mark the first single since Megan settled her lawsuit with former record label 1501 Certified Entertainment, which has been ongoing since 2020.
At the time, Megan said the contract she signed with the record label when she was 20 was "not only entirely unconscionable, but ridiculously so."
As a result of the lawsuit, Megan also announced that her new album would be completely self-funded: "The budget is coming from me, motherf---ing Hot Girl Productions."
According to a press release, "Cobra" will be "the first single released on Hot Girl Productions, Megan's independent music and entertainment entity."
Megan also shared the single's artwork which features her soaked in mud and nearly nude with a jungle backdrop.
