Plains All American Pipeline LP Q3 Profit Increases, Beats Estimates

Plains All American Pipeline LP (PAA) reported a profit for its third quarter that increased from the same period last year and beat the Street estimates.

The company's bottom line totaled $220 million, or $0.22 per share. This compares with $203 million, or $0.20 per share, in last year's third quarter.

Excluding items, Plains All American Pipeline LP reported adjusted earnings of $257 million or $0.37 per share for the period.

Analysts on average had expected the company to earn $0.31 per share, according to figures compiled by Thomson Reuters. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

The company's revenue for the quarter rose 5.6% to $12.743 billion from $12.071 billion last year.
