SurModics, Inc (SRDX) revealed Loss for third quarter of -$5.318 million

The company's bottom line totaled -$5.318 million, or -$0.37 per share. This compares with -$7.554 million, or -$0.53 per share, last year.

The company's revenue for the period fell 2.6% to $29.567 million from $30.341 million last year.

For the third quarter, the company posted adjusted income of $0.837 million, or $0.06 per share, compared with a loss of $3.880 million, or $0.27 per share, a year ago.

Looking ahead, for the full year, the company has revised its outlook.

SurModics now expects full-year net loss of $1.70 to $1.55 per share against the earlier outlook for loss of $1.60 to $1.40 per share.

The company now projects annual adjusted loss per share of $0.35 to $0.20 per share, compared with the earlier guidance for a loss of $0.62 to $0.42 per share.

This net and adjusted loss per share guidance assumes around $16 million of merger-related charges in fiscal 2025, compared to $3.7 million in fiscal 2024.

Surmodics has revised up its annual revenue outlook to a range of $116.5 million to $118.5 million, down 8% to 6% from fiscal 2024. Earlier, the company had expected its revenue to be in the range of $114 million to $117 million.
