Rising Texas R&B quartet 2BYG are back with a brand new single entitled "I Want You" via Waystar Records/Def Jam Recordings.

The track paves the way for the impending Deluxe version of their fan favorite 2025 debut mixtape, The Yearbook (Extended Version), due out June 12.

"I Want You" notably revolves around a sample from Biz Markie's classic "Make the Music With Your Mouth, Biz." The group pays homage to the legendary late hip-hop pioneer by recharging, refreshing, and reigniting one of his most iconic and instantly recognizable anthems.

As such, the track not only bridges styles but also unites two eras of the culture. 2BYG's signature, renowned harmonies take flight over the production, stretching falsetto vocal runs to heavenly heights. Throughout the song, the members' voices practically melt into the instantly irresistible refrain, "I can't let the feeling go, baby, I want you."

Regarding "I Want You," the Biz Markie Estate commented, "It warms my heart to see 2BYG honor Biz Markie on their new track. T hey're introducing Biz to an entirely new generation, while reinforcing the importance of respect, acknowledgment, and reciprocation in the culture."

With over 1 million followers on TikTok, the Dallas-Fort Worth natives — Matt Brown, Tourè, Nixx, and KD — have quickly become fan favorites through viral covers and charismatic behind-the-scenes content.
