Russian telecommunications operator Vimpel-Communications (VIP) said Wednesday that its newly formed Board of Directors has elected Alexey Reznikovich as Chairman. Reznikovich has served as a company director since May 2002.
The Moscow-based firm noted that Reznikovich was chairman at Golden Telecom from May 2007 to February 2008. Since June 2005, he has served as chief executive officer at Altimo, which was created to manage the telecoms investments of Alfa Group. Reznikovich has been a partner at McKinsey & Co., as well as worked for Procter & Gamble in Italy and Transworld in U.S.
The VimpelCom Group is a telecommunications operator, providing voice and data services, through a range of wireless, fixed, and broadband technologies.
VIP closed Tuesday's regular trading at $30.96, down $0.29, on a volume of 5.63 million shares.
