Sun American Bancorp (SAMB) reported a second quarter net loss of $2.5 million or $0.24 per share, compared to net income of $119,000 or $0.01 per share, in the second quarter of 2007.
Net interest income for the quarter declined to $5.03 million from $5.45 million in the prior year quarter. Non-interest income was $427 thousand, down from $489 thousand in year ago quarter.
