Friday, The Cato Corp. (CTR), a specialty retailer of value-priced women's fashion apparel, said that it promoted John Howe as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer with effect from September 1. The company said Howe will report to John Cato, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.
Howe most recently was the Senior Vice President, Controller of the company, and in the new role, he would be responsible for corporate finance, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury and information technology.
Howe joined The Cato Corporation in 1986 as a field auditor and has served in many financial roles.
CTR stock is currently trading down 5.23% at $17.23.
