Farmers Capital Bank Slips to Loss in Q3 - Quick Facts

Farmers Capital Bank Corp. (FFKT) reported a third quarter net loss of $6.9 million or $0.94 per share compared to net income of $4.2 million or $0.54 per share in the same quarter last year. Net interest income for the quarter was $14.8 million, up from $14.62 million in the same quarter prior year. Non-interest loss for the quarter was $7.87 million, compared to profit of $6.12 million in the year-ago quarter.

For the nine-month period, the company posted net income of $2.4 million or $0.32 per share compared to $13.7 million or $1.75 per share in the same period last year. Net interest income for the period was $44.9 million, up from $43.57 million in the same period prior year. Non-interest income for the period was $4.71 million, compared to $17.9 million in the year-ago period.
