Owens Illinois (OI) gapped open higher and continued to accelerate higher amid strong volume during the first 40 minutes of Thursday's trading, before lacking direction throughout the rest of the session. The sharp rise came after the company reported its third quarter earnings.
The stock broke resistance and finished at its highest level in over a week, up $4.11 at $23.33.
