ev3 Inc. (EVVV) reported second quarter EPS of $0.14 Tuesday morning, which beat the consensus estimate of a loss of $0.01. The company expects to report third quarter EPS of $0.09 to $0.12 and full year 2009 EPS of $0.47 to $0.53.
ev3 Inc. gapped up Tuesday and spiked higher in early trade. Shares settled into a range for the majority of the session and closed higher by $1.93 at $12.88 on the highest volume of the year. ev3 surged past resistance and closed at a new high for the year.
