China Fire & Security Group (CFSG) reported second quarter EPS of $0.29 Monday morning, up from the $0.24 reported in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.23. The company also increased its full year 2009 EPS guidance to between $1.00 and $1.05, from prior expectations of $0.93 to $1.00.
China Fire & Security Group gapped up Monday and rose steadily during the first hour of trade. The stock closed up by $1.91 at $18.44 on the highest volume of the year. Shares have been on an upward trend for the last month and set a new high for the year.
