QLogic Corp. (QLGC) rose sharply during the first half hour of Friday's session, but traded in a narrow range for the remainder of the day. Shares finished up by $1.33 at $16.07 on the highest volume of the year.
QLogic Corp. climbed above a 2 1/2 week trading range Friday and closed at an 11-month high.
