Shares of Auxilium Pharmaceuticals Inc. (AUXL) climbed sharply throughout the first hour of trade Monday. The stock took out the highs of the session late in the afternoon and finished up by $6.37 at $36.63 on the highest volume of the year.
Auxilium Pharmaceuticals broke out of a 2 1/2 month trading range Monday and closed at over an 11-month high.
