Leggett & Platt Inc. (LEG) reported third quarter EPS of $0.34 after the bell Thursday, which came in above the consensus estimate of $0.28. The company also increased its full year EPS forecast to between $0.65 and $0.75, from prior expectations of $0.55 to $0.70.
Leggett & Platt Inc. gapped up Friday and climbed in early trade. The stock settled into a range for the majority of the session and finished up by $1.41 at $20.82 on the highest volume of the year. Shares rose above a one-month range and set a new high for the year.
