Universal Health Services Closed Friday At Three-Month Low

Universal Health Services (UHS) reported third quarter EPS of $1.03 after the close Thursday, which came in above the consensus estimate of $0.88. The company also increased its full year 2009 EPS guidance to between $4.65 and $4.80, from prior expectations of $4.40 to $4.55.

Universal Health Services spiked to the downside early Friday morning and fell further around midday. Shares finished down by $5.07 at $55.65 on the highest volume in 5 months. The stock has been declining for the last 2 weeks and closed at a 3-month low.
