Enterprise software maker Oracle Corp. (ORCL) revealed Tuesday its real-time data integration software Oracle GoldenGate. The company said that the software delivers low-impact real-time data integration and replication technology to Oracle Fusion Middleware and also provides a comprehensive, heterogeneous data integration platform.
Oracle GoldenGate is an integrated technology of GoldenGate Software and Oracle Data Integration suite of solutions which delivers fast real-time data integration and bulk data transformation. Redwood Shores, California-based Oracle had earlier acquired GoldenGate, a leading provider of real-time data integration solutions.
According to Oracle, the new data integration software cane provide reliable data quality, instant Business Intelligence, higher Online Transaction Processing performance and continuous data availability for mission-critical systems.
Commenting on, Hasan Rizvi, senior vice president for Oracle Fusion Middleware said, "Demand for improved business performance is on the rise and enterprises recognize that real-time data integration to support high availability capabilities and real-time information has become mission critical."
"Oracle GoldenGate helps organizations harness the value of their IT investments and improve business operations by providing continuous access to business-critical information in real-time -- resulting in improved business intelligence across the enterprise, with more accurate and timely analysis of business performance," Rizvi added.
More than 5,000 customers are currently utilizing Oracle Data Integration technologies, including Oracle Data Integrator Enterprise Edition and Oracle GoldenGate, as a foundation for real-time data warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions, the company noted.
Oracle GoldenGate moves data in sub-seconds and, avoids performance impact on source systems and the network by capturing only committed changed data from transaction logs which results in reduced infrastructure costs and improved business insight using timely data.
Further, Oracle GoldenGate maintains transaction integrity while moving and delivering the data and minimizes the risk of data loss that can severely impact business operations.
The solution, Oracle GoldenGate supports a variety of open systems/open source and legacy databases on all major platforms and can be deployed unidirectional or bidirectional in multiple topologies, the company said.
By using Oracle Data Integration, organizations can reduce development costs by 30%, improve the speed of handling data by 50%, and reduced business process execution times by at least 70%, Oracle website said.
ORCL is currently trading at $21.75, down $0.08 or 0.37% on a volume of 13.90 million shares on Nasdaq.
