Australian Commodity Prices Growth Eases In February

Australian commodity prices rose 0.6% month-on-month in SDR terms in February after increasing 2.5% in January, a report from the Reserve Bank of Australia showed Monday. The largest contributors to the growth in February were increases in the prices of beef and veal, coal and iron ore in SDR terms. Annually, commodity prices fell 9.3% in February, smaller than the 11.6% decrease in January.

In Australian dollar terms, the commodity price index climbed 1.9% in February from the prior month, following a fall of 0.1% in January.
