Australian Data Due On Monday

Australia is scheduled to release a handful of economic reports on Monday, highlighting an otherwise light day for Asia-Pacific economic news. On tap are May numbers for job advertisements, the TD Securities inflation expectation and the AiG Performance of Construction Index.

Job ads showed an overall increase of 1.0 percent on month in April, while the inflation expectation saw an increase of 0.3 percent on month and 3.6 percent on year in the previous month. The construction index saw a score of 37.9 in April.

Finally, a number of the regional bourses are closed on Monday for various holidays. New Zealand is off for the Queen's Birthday, while South Korea is closed for Memorial Day. Taiwan, China and Hong Kong all are off for the Dragon Boat Festival. All of them re-open on Tuesday.
