Cal-Maine Foods (CALM) reported second quarter net income of $0.97 per share Tuesday morning, up from $0.63 per share in the prior year period. Net sales rose to $290.37 million from $234.52 million last year.
Cal-Maine Foods gapped open sharply higher Tuesday and is now up 2.01 at $36.26 on above average volume. The stock is now challenging the highs of the year, trading at a 5-month high.
