Brazil's inflation slowed in January, data from IBGE showed Friday.
The consumer price index increased 6.22 percent annually from December's 6.50 percent. The figure came in slightly lower than the economists' forecast of 6.24 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.56 percent in January, after increasing 0.50 percent in December.
