France's leading economic index increased from the previous month in December, data from a survey by Conference Board showed Wednesday.
The leading economic index increased 0.3 percent month-on-month to 113 in December. The negative contributors to the index came from industrial new orders and the inverted new unemployment claims, the survey showed.
Meanwhile, the coincident economic index, which measures the current situation, dropped 0.2 percent from the previous month to 104.2 in December.
In the six-month period ended December, the leading index decreased by 0.4 percent, while the coincident index decreased by 0.4 percent, the agency said.
