Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications and Vodafone, Wednesday said it purchased the operating assets of Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania from United States Cellular Corp.
Verizon Wireless will continue to use the Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania brand for the next several months as it works to convert the existing wireless network to Verizon Wireless specifications.
"We look forward to expanding our brand presence and network coverage in northeast Pennsylvania and in welcoming Cellular One's customers to the nation's most reliable wireless network," said Mario Turco, president of Verizon Wireless' Philadelphia Tri-State Region.
