MarkWest Energy Partners L.P. (MWE) announced the closing of its public offering of 6.79 million common units at $59.54 per common unit, which includes 885,000 common units purchased pursuant to the full exercise of the underwriters' option to purchase additional common units.
MarkWest said that it intends to use the approximately $388.0 million in net proceeds from the offering, after deducting underwriting discounts, commissions and offering expenses, to partially fund its ongoing capital expenditure program.
