Bed Bath & Beyond (BBBY) reported fourth quarter EPS of $1.48 after the bell Wednesday, up from $1.12 in the prior year period. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.33. The company expects to report first quarter EPS of $0.79 to $0.83, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.82.
Bed Bath & Beyond has gapped open sharply higher Thursday morning and is now up 3.58 at $69.81. The stock has broken out of a week and a half long range and has set a new high for the year.
