Coinstar Inc. (CSTR) announced after the close Thursday that it now expects to report first quarter core earnings from continuing operations of $1.36 to $1.40 per share and between $4.40 and $4.80 for the full year 2012. The consensus estimates are for EPS of $0.90 and $4.09. The stock is now up 8.99 on 74K shares.
Coinstar gapped open lower Thursday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed down by 1.84 at $61.31 and set a 2 1/2 week low.
