Winpak Ltd. (WPK.TO) Wednesday reported an increase in profit for the first quarter, due mainly to higher revenues.
The Canada-based company reported a first-quarter net profit of $17.09 million or $0.26 per share, compared to $15.05 million or $0.23 per share last year.
Total revenues for the quarter grew 15.7 percent to $171.81 million from $148.54 million in the prior-year quarter.
