Brookfield Investments Corp. (BRN_PR_A.V) reported that its first-quarter net loss was $16 million or $0.35 per share, compared to a loss of $3 million or $0.07 per share in the same quarter last year. Dividend and interest income for the quarter increased to $10 million from $8 million in the year ago quarter.
