Fire at a drug rehabilitation center in the outskirts of Lima, Peru has claimed the lives of 14 people, sources reported. This was the second such kind of incident to occur this year.
The fire broke out at the Sacred Heart of Jesus center in Chosica in eastern Lima, however the cause of the fire is still unknown.
According to firefighters, the most number of deaths occurred on the second floor and in hallways where the patients were trapped, as the doors were locked and windows barred.
In January, a similar fire had broke out at another rehabilitation center in Lima. It had killed 29 people and dozens others injured.
