Switzerland's unemployment rate increased slightly in April, data from a survey by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) showed Monday.
The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate moved up to 3.1 percent in April from 3 percent in March, which was revised down from 3.1 percent. The latest figure matched economists' expectations.
On an unadjusted basis, the jobless rate came in at 3.1 percent in April, down from the previous month's rate of 3.2 percent.
There were 123,158 unemployed persons in Switzerland in April, down by 3,234 compared to March. The unemployment rate among youth, aged between 15 and 24, dropped to 3 percent from 3.2 percent in the previous month.
