United Fire Group Inc (UFCS) reported that its first-quarter net income was $19.18 million or $0.75 per share, compared to $5.81 million or $0.22 per share in the same quarter last year.
Operating income increased to $0.68 per share from $0.16 per share last year.
Total revenues for the quarter rose to $193.70 million from $144..08 million in the prior year quarter.
